2000 Durango, signals will not work

I have a 200 durango, The signals will not work. I have changed all of the bulbs. I have also changed the control arm on the steering column. I have located the flasher and put my hand on it while turning on the hazzard lights-which seem to work fine, i can feel it clicking. I am assuming that it's the same flasher relay, because it looks identical to the one i purchased for the blinkers. I was going to swap it out anyways, but I can't budge it. Is there a trick to removing this? what else could be causing this issue?

I found this pic that shows what AngieJane above is writing about. I found it by laying on the floor of the drivers side. The arrow is actually pointing towards the front of the vehicle. The triangular part that the piece is connected is the inside of the fuse box accessible when the driver's door is open. By taking the cover off it lets a little extra light in to see better. I was unable to get the piece off as pictured but can reach up and pull out the relay also. I have not change it out yet to see if this is the issue. I hope the pic helps.

I too have a 2000 durango - I had a signal light problem for over a month - we could not figure it out. I automatically thought it was the steering column. Sometimes the signals would work...mostly the left signal would not come on or blink only a few times. After bulb changes, looking at fuses and wiring connections - we replaced a small signal relay located way under the dash [had to remove a small dash section underneith the driver's side] It is extremely difficult to reach -a few scraped knuckles - but once we changed it - the $40 part was the issue.

I am trying to figure out which fuse to change or is it a relay. Nothing in the owners manual or the under the hood fuse boxes is labeled clearly.

Andrae, If it is just the right rear signal not working, re check the bulb and wires to the socket, signal bulb should have 2 filaments. When you put emergency flasher on do both tail lights flash, .

2002 dodge durango left turn signal works right turn signal does not

have you checked the bulbs front and back. to see if they work, bulb check. then it sounds like you might have a bad signal flasher that only works the left side and not the right side. or if a bulb at the front or the rear gets bright but not the opposite bulb on the same side then you may just have a bad bulb or socket or power to the socket when doing the bulb check.

2004 Dodge Durango: Left turn signal blinks fast

Check the bulb socket for a burnt or a shorted condition. Remove bulb and try another bulb, if it does it again then you have a short in the socket or wiring to bulb. Turn on the 4 way flashers and see what it will do. If it continues then look for any burnt wire connector or wireing to bulb. Check the wiring behind the light for any metal that has cut into the wiring insulation. Hope this will help you.

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango I bought about 4 hours ago. The tail lights do not work but the brake light and turn signals do. Also the dash lights do not work. The dash lights came on when I hit the...

The odds are the one fuse is blown for the dash and the tail lights. And the wrong bulb may have been put in for the brake light. The brake light is feeding back into the tail light circuit causing the fuse to blown out.

Change out the bulbs with OEM bulbs and replace the blown fuse. That should fix the problem.

2002 dodge durango fuse keeps blowing for turning signals

You have a ground problem. Somewhere on the wiring, usually where there is a bind of many cables zip tied together heat from a hot lead wire has cause it to melt another wire which is grounding itself with your other wire causing your bulb to burn or a fuse to pop. Check your wiring...this is going to be pain staking but it will solve your issue. This is the cheapest way to troubleshoot the problem. If your turn signals are parallel to each other check the other bulb, maybe that could be your culprit as well. Change both light bulbs first before you check all the wiring. Cheapest first, let me know. Gabe
