I have a 2003 chevorlet tahoe v*8 5- litre two wheel drive, I just recently ran out of fuel.I put fuel and then attempted to start the vehicle. Nothing, no-crank. I get a full dash display but nothing when I try to start, as if I am locked out.The vehicles anti-theft should disengage with the key transmitter, or with the manual key-unlock;also by using the ignition, nothing helped. I even tried cranking the motor at the starter itself with the ignition key on. All I got was crank with no fire' any suggestion is welcomed...........JOHN
Say john did you try to reboot it ?? just disconnect the battery for a few min then reinstall it . just a thought Jerry Say john did you try to reboot it ?? just disconnect the battery for a few min then reinstall it . just a thought Jerry

Some vehicles need a substantial amount of fuel put in the tank after they have run out, Sounds daft that they will completely empty the tank, but won't restart unless you put a minimum of 10 litres back in. Most modern tanks are fitted with a swirl pot that cools unused fuel returned to the tank. Try putting extra fuel in it.
i would first try to replace the fuel filter.usually there filter accumalates debris in the gas tank especially if you you ru the tank close to empty.filter location needs to be traced from the tank toward the motor.you will see a cylinder inline with a strap.part usually runs around 20.00. also when you initally turn the key before start you will hear a hum for about 2 sec. this is the fuel pump pushing the fuel up to motor.so if you hear this pump is working.
check or have someone check your neutral safety switch by putting transmission in park, turn ignition switch to start, and move gear selector lever at same time. if engine starts while doing this test you need to adjust safety switch! If you have a manual trans make sure to push clutch pedal as far as possible while turning key!
There are very suspect to the TCCM (transfer case control module) more so when they have the auto function. There are a few calibration updates for the TCCM, but don't usually result in the vehicle going into neutral. I would suggest you get it scanned for TCCM codes, if there are any ECU failures relating to the TCCM, it needs to be replaced and reprogrammed.
You didn't specify where you put the seafoam (oil, gas tank, vacuum lines etc) It's very possible that the fuel filter needs changing and the spark plugs may very well be fouled. After seafoaming a car it's a good idea to really open it up to burn off the foam and residue.
I have recently had this problem with a customer. It seems the 4x4 low will only engage in neutral with the brake applied. And also check fuse. Then select drive and you will feel it lock in. Don't "goose" the fuel when attempting this.
