The car needs a new TS flasher. About 6$ at the auto parts store. You find the old one by listening for where the click is comming from under the dash. These are typically very accessable.

sounds like burnt out bulb. This is usually an indication when the bulb blows. Turn on blinker and check front and back to see which bulb is out..

Intermittent left turn signal - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Generally, if a bulb has failed or is making only poor contact, the blink rate will increase since the standard blinker relay uses a thermal strip heated by current flow to the bulbs and when it is too low, it blinks rapidly and briefly.
You still have the front bulbs to check and maybe pulling the fuse for that circuit and plugging it back in might remove some corrosion from the blades.
The flasher relay is probably OK since this would affect both sides.

you need to change your distributor module . The module gets hot and won't allow it to send spark to the plugs until it cools. Ask a person at your local parts store and they will show you the module and show you how to install it.

Blinkers not working

Did you check the bulbs? If one bulb is burned out, the blinkers won't word on that side. You could have one bulb burned out on each side. Start the car, put left signal on. Check front and back lights. Is one light on but not blinking? If that's the case, the light that's not on at all is burned out and has broken the circuit so the good light stays on and won't blink. Check the other side. You also have a 'flasher' , actually 2. One for emergency flashers, one for the turn signals. It could be that the turn signal flasher is shot. You just have to unplug it to remove. It's probably located near the fuses. good luck countrycurt0
