You will need to have a 3/8 drive ratchet or breaker bar to place into the idler pulley slot that is rectangular. Apply pressure to the wrench in the direction to relieve the belt tension. Slip the belt off of one of the pulleys and gently release the idler tensioner. There should be a map that shows you the belt routing on the front cowl. If you do not see it remember the belt routing as you remove it so you can replace it correctly. If it is a serpentine belt make sure the ribs of the belt are seated in all the pulleys before starting the truck.

How do i tighten power steering belt on a 1991 Nissan sentra

This is just a general answer. There are 2 ways to tighten a power steering belt, 1, by adjusting the power steering pump OR 2 by adjusting a tensioner pulley.
Inspect the belt system and see which one your vehicle uses. If the pump is adjustable, it will be mounted on one end by either a sliding bolt on a curved bracket like the alternator, or by an adjusting bolt.
If your car has an adjusting pulley, check the routing of the belt. It will normally run from the front engine pulley over the adjusting pulley then over the power steering pump pulley. The adjusting (tensioner) pulley will have to be loosened, then either pulled to the tightening position by hand and retightened, or else there will be an adjusting bolt and nut which must be turned to tighten the belt before retightening the pulley.
Sorry, I don't know your car that well so my answer is just generic.
Good luck

Easy to do, but also easy to do wrong.

1. Find the belt.
2. Find the belt tensioner.
3. Find the belt tensioner adjuster screw.
4. Loosen the adjustment screw, and slack the belt.
5. Remove the belt.
6. Replace the belt.
7. Tension the belt using the adjustment on the belt tension adjuster.
8. Drive around and steer, easily.

Enjoy.
