I have a 2000 Bravada. The rear window was shattered when it was backed into a tree. the wiper and hydraulics are fine, but I have a used window that I need to install. Can you explain the procedure for installing it? thank you.
To install, get about 1/4" cord(rope will work), put the seal on the
window, put the cord in the SEAL, where it seals to the CAB, have
someone hold the window up to the back of the cab for you. You want the
cord to meet at the top in the center. Try and get the window on the
frame as much at the top as possible, then start pulling the cord. Be
careful, a medium sized flat screwdriver will help too. The object is
to get the cord to pull the seal around the frame of the window for you
without using the screwdriver. You can use the screwdriver to help, but
careful, it'll rip the seal very easily
When I worked in a bodyshop, we would grease up the cord with white
grease, but I've done it without it. You just have to be real careful.
