To install, get about 1/4" cord(rope will work), put the seal on the window, put the cord in the SEAL, where it seals to the CAB, have someone hold the window up to the back of the cab for you. You want the cord to meet at the top in the center. Try and get the window on the frame as much at the top as possible, then start pulling the cord. Be careful, a medium sized flat screwdriver will help too. The object is to get the cord to pull the seal around the frame of the window for you without using the screwdriver. You can use the screwdriver to help, but careful, it'll rip the seal very easily

When I worked in a bodyshop, we would grease up the cord with white grease, but I've done it without it. You just have to be real careful.

My 2003 GMC Yukon rear hatch hydraulics is broken. To load into the back of the Yukon, I have to raise the rear hatch and then hold it up while I put things in the back. What's a good estimate of...

You just go to an auto parts store or dealer & buy the struts

You don't pay a repair shop to put them on

You wouldn't have someone replace your wiper blades
Same thing,simple.

"Oldsmobile Bravada: I own a 1992 Olds Bravada.

Did you try bending the metal arm going to the wiper blade so there is enough pressure to make the blade contact the window better. I just did one two days ago and if im reading what what you are saying right its is the same problem and it fixed it

How to remove the rear hatch window hydraulic supports?

Before attempting to remove the supports get a wooden 2x3 and prop the hatch securely open, next look at the rods carefully, you will see they have a clipping device that secures them to a small ball type joint both top and bottom, be careful as some have the rear window electric grid plugged into them, disconnect with care as not to damage the connectors or the wire.

The rear wiper on my 99 Bravada has quit working. It made about 2 passes over the window before it completely stopped. How do i go about replacing the rear wiper motor?

Unscrew inside panel on tailgate (3 screws-1 each side, 1 in the middle), unclip and remove by pulling up and out towards the rear. Unscrew all screws holding steel plate down, unclip plastic clips that hold the rod running behind the plate and unhook rod at top of that opens the window. Unclip wiring harnesses, remove wiper from the outside (1 nut holding it down)and unbolt the motor. It is pretty self explanatory once you have the steel plate removed, just remove and install the screws and clips in the same order and try it out before you put all your screws back into the steel plate since there are so many. Back window must be closed for wiper motor to work. To save yourself from replacing the motor with a new one, 9 out of 10 times it is simply the locking washer has come off of the gear inside the motor, if you pop off the plastic motor cover you will see the washer is off the gears are out of place. I realigned the gear and replaced the washer with a "C" clip and it has been working great for over a year!

SHATTERED BACK WINDOW FROM CLOSING THE HATCH DOOR

Hello, sorry for the glass shattering, and the inconvenience it caused. However, consider contacting your insurance company - most carriers replace glass for free...or they have a reduced rate - other than the normal deductible.

Turn on the rear window wiper . Try to get the wiper arm off the glass. There is a switch that will not let the window operate if the wiper is on the glass.

2000 Honda Odyssey rear wiper motor replacement

You are probably correct in thinking its the wiper motor. You can do this but you will need to remove all the interior trim from the rear hatch first. Get a trim clip removal tool at a parts store...it will work much better than just a flat blade screwdriver. You'll have to remove the trim panels starting in order from the top of the door, then the left rear window side trim, then right rear window side trim, then the grab handle, and finally the main rear hatch trim panel. Once inside, removing and replacing the rear wiper motor is easy. You'll start by lifting the cover on the wiper arm retention nut. Remove this nut to get the wiper arm off, then remove the nut under neath which is the motor shaft mounting nut. Now, back inside to remove the other 3 motor mounting bolts. Don't forget to disconnect the connector for the motor wires. Reverse steps to replace.

2000 Explorer rear wiper motor does not work

check and see if the rear hatch is closed tight. I have had the same problem and solved it by always making sure the hatch is closed by giving it a nudge. Also there is a great web site for us explorer owners called explorer forum.com check it out.
