There will be a plug on the bottom of the transmission casing to let the old gearbox oil out.
On an automatic trans the filler is usually on top at the trans dipstick.
On a manuel trans there is a plug about half way up the trans casing.
Drain fully and put in correct type and amount according to your manual. Do not put any old trans fluid in use the type and quantity recommended by the manufacturer!
I find myself just going to a Quick Lube Shop and letting them do it for a few bucks more.. They get it right and it's faster than me doing it myself.

How do I remove a engine and gearbox from the seat cordoba?


drop it all down in one go through the bottom then jack vehicle up and pull the engine assembly out ,i always drop onto a sort of trolley with castor wheels on but the middle bit is only 1cm off the ground it has a belly with the wheels on each corner that have L brackets to give the height to support the castor

Where is the gearbox oil level plug found on a seat cordoba 1.9tdi?


on the side of the gearbox,it has a 5/8th"square hole for a square tool to remove it.fill with ep90 until oil flows from it DO NOT OVERFILL.

How much oil do i put in my seat cordoba . doing a oil change. it is a seat cordoba 2l 16v 1999 v reg


I would start with 4 qts, and check it, most cars use 5, some of the newer ones use 4, some of the big suvs go with 6.

Sounds more like your RPM's are too low. Check the guage against the specifications in the manual.

No we have not found a solution, as our car is a SEAT Cordoba, not JETTE, because you dont have SEAT Cordoba on your list of cars, possibly because your website is US based, and you dont have SEAT,s in the US
