Question about 2000 Kia Sportage
I have code P0442 evap emission controlsystem leak, P0116 Engine coolant temp cktrange/perf, and P0171 System too lean on my 2000 kia sportage ex what should i do to fix probs? and how will they effect my vehicle?
Fix the leak at the emissions system first. There is a small leak that the PCU detected. That could be the cause of the P0116 problem. Also the PCU detected a lean gas mixture because it is getting more air to the fuel system than gasoline. Start with the leak , then the Engine temperature sensor. I think that fixing the lek will "fix' the othe 2 problems. but it could be either one or all of them.

P0116....Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Range/Performance Problem
right it means you have a faulty O2 sensor and i would imagine the one after the cat ,and the engine is running cold so its either a problem with no thermostat fitted or outside ambient temperature too cold and you will need to put a piece of cardboard in front of radiator to stop the air flow and the wind chill factor
