The blinking light is indicating that there is a problem with the transmission. You should bring it to a qualified technician to read the codes before you do any further damage by driving it while it's in that condition.

The usual cause of this is a bad PNP switch or gear position sensor.
The "W" is flashing because the transmission control module is stuck in the Winter mode. If you are not familiar with sensor, I suggest you go and have the transmission codes read and reset to begin with and then post back the results.
Flashing too fast means that at least one exterior bulb isn't working. IF its an intermittent problem, once bulb could not be making connection at times. next time its flashing fast, stop the car and look to see which bulb isn't working. Replace that bulb, clean the socket at the same time
One possibility is that the light in not firmly seated in its socket inside the stereo. If you find that the blinking is worse when driving over bumpy surfaces this will help confirm that the issue is related to an intermittent electrical connection.
