Where is the output speed sensor on a 01 hyundai santa fe?

It is 2wd with a six cylinder.
I was told the input speed sensor is under the air box and the output speed sensor is ''kind of'' under the master cylinder on the transaxle. I cant find where that ''kind of'' spot is

I wanted to post a reply to this because I also have a 2001 2.7l V6 4wd and my output speed sensor was directly underneath the air filter housing/box and NOT "deep behind the transmission" as the poster said above. It was very easy to get to, and took me about 10 minutes to replace. The part number for mine (genuine Hyundai/KIA) is 42621 39052 if that helps. And this is NOT the 02 sensor mentioned in the previous post. What we're talking about here is the Output Speed Sensor on the transmission. You may get a code P0720 from your CEL. You can also download TSB 05-40-011from hmaservice.com for more info and a diagram of the location. Hopefully this might help someone in the future. Good luck!

Not sure if this will help. Mine is a 2001 2.7L V-6 all wheel drive. The output speed sensor for mine was deep behind the transmission. underneath the #2 Cylinder. It was on the top side of the transmission just to the passenger side of where the rear wheel drive line comes out. It was all I could do to reach it. Had to take the air cleaner housing off and be a contortionist. Good luck

They may be reffering to the O2 sensors. One is to one side of the manifold the other is on the pipe going to the catalytic converter. I hope that's what they are saying. Hope this helps you.

The speed sensor for the transmission is in the side of the trans.

Santa Fe Code p1529

I am sorry the above codes is general error code , the error your getting is car specific hence the codes where not there in the list:

P0715
Input speed sensor system

If no output pulse is detected from the input shaft speed (PG-A) sensor for 1 second or more while driving in 3rd or 4th gear at a speed of 30 km/h or more, it is judged to be an open or short circuit . In the input shaft speed sensor and diagnosis code P0715 is output. If diagnosis code P0715 is output four times, the transmission is locked into 3rd gear (D range) or 2nd gear as a fail-safe measure

P1529
TCM MIL request signal, this code sets in the computer engine control module when there is a transmission fault code
