My X reg Yaris 1.0 has a problem with the FM very faint and very distorted with crackles. The AM seems fine. Would this still be an aerial problem.

How do I get the unit out to check?

    Thanks

    Peter

This is usually caused by a defective antenna ground or a disconnected antenna lead at the back of the radio

How do i tune Mazda Demio (2004 model) radio to Southern African frequencies?

fm frequencies are just that fm frequencies ( not japanese, chinese ,english or anything else
it is a range of frequencies in the fm band that local stations broadcast on
so all you have to do is to turn the tuner knob until you get 107 fm
so as you turn the knob you will loose 89 and it will go probably 90.5 , 100.20, 102.7 etc and if there is a station broadcasting that your radio will pick up it will come in and then fade out as you keep moving the knob
you may have to change the mode as there are fm 1 ,fm 2,fm 3 bands to get your fm 107 as it will depend on what megahertz 107 is operating on

Toyota yaris Mk 1 radio no sound

I had this problem on a 2004 Echo sedan.
Check the rear speaker leads. One had broken off on mine and was grounding against the speaker frame, causing the amp to shut down. If this is the case, solder the lead back on and insulate it with black tape to keep it away from any metal parts. When the fault is cleared the radio should play again.

Radio doesnt work in FM mode

Before you replace it, remove it from the dash and check to see if the antenna is hooked up to it. Sometimes it can come loose and that's your problem. It's a thick black cable with a single prong out of it. It connects directly into the stereo. Good luck!

No fm radio stations tune in. 1993 Acura Legend/ w Bose radio/cassett. AM works great. verified all antenna connections already.

Not much it can be really. If it is picking up A.M. no problem then it is not a connection problem. It is a fault in the radio itself. F.M. frequency is the easiest to pick up so get the radio checked as it has to be internal.

The radio does not search on even numbers (89,8) only on odds numbers (89,9) is it posible to chance that?? My car is 2006 Tacoma

Why? North American radio stations are only broadcast on "odd" frequencies - x.1, x.3, etc.
