Question about 2006 Jeep Commander

2006 Jeep Commander - Air turns on only on HIGH

My air condition/heat only turns on when on HIGH. Any way to fix this without taking it in to the mechanic? Air works heats, cools... any info will help! Thanks.

Your problem here is the heater speed control module under the dash, replace this or look it up on how to and you will be good to go, I would tell you how but each box is located in different spots and different ways to take them off on different cars!! PLEASE rate me !!

Good chance you have air pockets in the cooling system. You may need to bleed the air out and add more coolant.

How do I find the blower motor ?


fails on high?
check fuses. the one called blower.

the motor is where it used to make sounds, under dash in the heater box.
alldata.com has full FSM data in the HVAC chapter, full
log in and read.

I have a 06 Jeep Commander and the blower is working and blowing heat it will not switch to defrost, floor, front, on the switch?


Sounds like a vacume leak Probably need to pull trim on dash and listen for a rush of air but first listen under hood

2006 jeep commander blower will not blow at all how to test or fix problem


First check all of your fuses under hood and under dash! If they are all good you need to get a new blower motor, you can get one at your local autozone, orileys, etc. not that hard to change out. should fix you right up!

How do you turn the passenger air bags on in a 2006 Jeep commander?


it's weight activated. I believe anything over 25? pounds will turn it on - you should see the light go off once something of that weight is in the passenger seat

Heater/ac not working properly


Easy fix. The vacuum hose has come loose. Happens all the time. The hose is about 1/2" in diameter and can be found under the hood, in the middle of the engine compartment, on the drivers side. Just take a tie wrap and tighten it down over the plastic inlet.
