I have the same problem. Your answer is what is says in my owners manual. However, I don't have the optional trip computer, so I don't have a status or reset button. Any ideas?
    Thank You.

It has to be reset each time you have your oil changed.
To reset it press the status control button on message center to access the system check function. Then press reset to reset oil % the press and hold reset control to set it to 100%

Can i use Penrite 10w-40 semi synthetic oil in my 2002 Honda CRV for one oil change only plus filter change? car has done 248k's with no oil use

You could do that. It is a thicker oil and heavier weight, not usually recommended in the winter time cause it makes it harder to start the car. Your car has high miles thus more wear, I usually use 10w-40 in place of high-mileage oils (cause it has less detergents) unless the car has been using full synthetic oil from the start. I'd say ok, and if it runs sluggish then you can use something like Marvel Oil to thin it down and that will help clean and lubricate your engine too.

Oil pressure light beeps on and off before and after new oil pump

Have you replaced the sending unit for the oil light yet, do that now and that will likely fix the problem. The sender will be near the oil filter most likely.

The maintenance required light is on but no engine or transmission codes show up. What else could be the problem? The oil was just changed. How do I turn the light off?

The maintenance required light does not indicate any problem with the engine or systems like a Check Engine Light (CEL) does. This light is normally a reminder to change the oil. Getting the light to turn off is really easy.

In order, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold down the trip odometer reset button.
2. Turn the key to the on position without starting the engine.
3. Continue to hold down the reset button; The light should go out within 10-15 seconds.

God bless and good luck.

When should the transmission be flushed the first time and how many miles after..or between each

Check your owners manual for recamended fluid and filter service. Some new cars and trucks don't even have a dipstick to check the fluid level, because some transmissions and transaxles on newer cars and trucks are sealed from the factory and are designed to not require fluid changes and periodic checking of fluid level.
Your owners manuel should have all the information on servicing the transmission, the engine oil, tire rotation, jacking points on your vehicle, as well as oil grade/wt. along with when to change your filters, etc.

Oil warning light on a brava car wont go off

Best would be is to measure the oil pressure out put.
Sometimes the oil filter could be the culprit.
Was the oil warning light staying 'on; prior to the oil and filter change?..If not thn the first thing to check is to replace the oil filter ..its better to install the 'original' one .
Hope this helps!

Change oil filter honda civic 2003

buy new oil filter, oil, and a new drain plug and gasket. the used plug is prone to leakage. remove drain plug and drain in a big enough pan for all the oil. oil filter is located on rear of engine. easier to remove from the bottom of the car. put oil on the seal of the new filter and hand tighten. replace oil plug with new gasket and plug and tighten to 33 foot pound. add oil that is required and start car. when oil light goes out shut car off and check oil add oil as needed.

The engine light always come on after an oil

Does it come on just when you first start it up after the oil change. Does it stay on for Miles? If it comes on just for a few mint.s right after the change, it has to do with the oil press safety. You install a new filter and as the engine starts it will have to refill the oil filter with oil, plus refill all the oil ports in the block to finely build press to shut off the press safety switch, which will the turn off the light.

The engine oil light sometime blinks and cometimes stop it apper and disapper suddently can you please explain the cause of these matter. the oil level is ok, I change oil and oil filter a month ago. What...

The wire at the oil switch maybe lose and or it may be cut somewhere and its touching the body thus getting the negative and thus the warning light coming on.
Trace the wiring starting from the oil switch onwards .

Hope this helps!
