I get this code and it says warm up catalyst is below treshold bank 2, and it said this can be a faulty o2 sensor but i change all the sensors and the code still comes back. so i guess this might be the catalyst converter. but i am not sure which one is bad this is in relation to mazda mpv 2004

O2 sensors are tricky. sometimes like anything else they fail. many times though the exhaust mixture they encounter is out of their range and that shows up as a failure.since you seem to have no other problems , I would go ahead and change them, but don't be disappointed if the code shows up again (at least you know it's not the sensors.) I don't like using the process of elimination when doing repairs but sometimes you must.

You def have a catayst problem. Before changing the converter i would recommend changing both up and down stream oxygen sensor on bank 2. If they are old thats what the computer determines if the catalyst is good or not. Most of the time after changing the sensors and resetting the light the problem is solved.

Bank 1 is right or rear bank.Closest to the firewall.Sensor 2 is secondary or after/downstream of pre-cats.

The one before the catalytic, on the side where cylinder # 1 is at. close to the exhaust mag.
