Left front wheel shifting and loose

Alarming, don't drive it except to a mechanic. Possibly:

- wheel nuts are loose
- wheel hub nut is loose
- axle bearing has collapsed (that would be noisy)
- front knuckle ball joint has failed
- suspension strut to knuckle bolts (two) are loose
- strut upper mounting has failed or is loose

My steering wheel wiggles

You could have an out-of-balance or out-of-round condition on the front tires, but similarly it could be something more serious

-loose front wheel hub
-worn front suspension joint
-worn steering tie rod joint
-loose steering box mounts
-loose steering column u-joint
-loose or word steering wheel attachment

I have a 1981 f250 4x4, and the front hubs I have noticed are a little loose. Can you tell me what I need to do about this? thank you.

you either have a wheel bearing in it or a hub and sealed bearing unit. i just changed two hub and bearing units in my son's 2006 Chevy Silverado.i like the old style, just had to change a wheel bearing.
good luck,

My 2002 Lincoln LS v6 Lost Engine Power,Traction Control Light was flashing & ABS light Came on! ANY IDEA?

Had the same problem with my 2002 Lincoln LS, it was a bad wheel speed sensor. The right front wheel bearing had some play in it, so I had the hub assembly replaced. The hub assembly comes with a new wheel speed sensor attached. After I replaced the hub assmbly with sensor, the ABS and Traction Control lights went off. No problem since!
