yes a 3.8 and one was right behind the power steering pump but on the engine and the other is from the same side but closer to the front. I did however notice two places that these rods could go. There are two ( front and read on the side of the engine) links with stop screws with holes that these rods could fit. Thank You

yes, was just look around and notice them. They were just laying there. But the van drives ok other then the high idles ever so often

  • Rolando Hall Feb 06, 2009

not sure of your question. the two places on the engine seem to need the rods to rotate the levers that are on the engine. Also, is there a way I could post a photo of that area in questions?

  • Rolando Hall Feb 06, 2009

ok thanks a lot, I am on the east cost and will do this in the morning. You said that it may have something to do with the fuel. Does this mean that the engine is not getting all the fuel it should be getting?

  • Rolando Hall Feb 06, 2009

if i'm correct that is your frame rail for your injectors... if it's
not attached properly you could be getting a vacuum leak... and some
other issues. Someone else post this, what do u think

P1270 fault came up on scanner. to repair what is required please?

Well, FIRST before anything can be diagnosed or repaired, you need to read the codes again. Code P1270 is not a valid code for a 2005 Chrysler 300. This is a " vehicle-specific" code that applies to FORD vehicles as well as a few MAZDA and BMW vehicles. It has to do with the engine rev limiter system. CHRYSLER does not use this code...At least not anywhere I can find.

Secondary on my rochester quadrajet 4bbl wont open up

It could be several things. It's quite possible that lack of use has made them hard to open. If that's the case then a little penetrating oil and some gentle persuasion will get them working. The top butterflies work on vacuum so you will have to push on them by hand.
It could be that the vacuum pot on the front passenger side of the carb is not working properly. It should connect by a short vacuum line to the top of the carb on the same side. Unplug the hose from one end, stick a finger over it so you don't lose vacuum. There is a long rod off the back of it that goes to the secondary's that should slide when you unhook and hook it back up.
The linkage on the driver's side should move the lower butterflies. Work the throttle linkage by hand, with the car off, and see if they will open. If they don't then liberally spray the linkage with something like WD-40 and work it back and forth. Spray both sides of the carb at the base and in the middle to lubricate the shafts for the butterflies. Work the linkage and spray and it should free up. Make sure that someone hasn't bent the tab that pushes the secondary's open, out of the way.
If the carb has been worked on lately, especially the choke linkage there are lockouts there. If the choke linkage has been taken off and put back on, these lockouts may not be in the right positions. There is a small tab that drops down when the choke is engaged but it can flop around if not correctly installed. You will need a diagram to get the linkage on properly. Most any rebuild kit for that age carb will have a picture of it.
These are your most likely problems. Hope this helps.

hi, the pvc valve really needs a replacement, this causes your car to run poorly because of vacuum loss. the valve has spring that closes on vacuum conditions and opens when accelerating and slowing down. your mechanic is right about this

Loud popping noise when turning.Seems to be coming from the drivers side front wheel

this could be a bad inner axle joint check to see if the axle boot on the left side is torn or missing also check the wheel bearings and tie rod ends by jacking up the front of the vehicle one corner at a time and grab the tire at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock position and wiggle it back and forth looking for excessive movement in the tie rod ends then reverse your hands to the top and bottom of the tire and try moving it from top to bottom checking for excessive wheel bearing movement it shouldn't move in or out at the top or bottom

2005 Kia Amanti; heater on driver side blowing cold air, passenger side blowing hot air. Checked all fuses. antifreeze ok. no leaks anywhere I can see. Are there two thermostats? Stumped.

For those of you who may google this link and are looking for an solution, my local repair shop isolated my 2005 Amanti problem to a $2.78 plastic clip on the temperature blend door actuator rod linkage. It simply fatigued and eventually broke resulting in the actuator rod falling off the actuator door lever. The labor to isolate the problem and to replace the clip did amount to almost $170. Hope this helps those of you in the future.

My left front wheel has a slightly loose feeling when I hit any kind of bump. I don't think it is in the bearings, but instead in the steering linkage. What can you suggest?

Try squatting or kneeling beside tire & grab it at 9 o'clock & 3 o'clock and try to turn it side to side real quick & hard. If it wiggles with play in it (sloppy) it's probably a tie rod end. If you jack it up & get wheel off ground and try same it might be easier, but with it up off ground, grab tire at 12 & 6 this time & do same (pull out at bottom while pushing in at top quick & vise versa) to see if any play there, indicating a bad ball joint. let me know what you find.
