2001 Mazda 626 transmission slip..maybe?

Car acts like it wants to not go when I accelerate after being at a light or stop sign.
When I let the car warm up for like 10 min...it wont do it.

How often does the filter for transmission should be changed- I assume there is one.

I had this problem but only mine would occur between 35 -50 mph. I had the problem resolved just today. 1 1/2 months ago I was told spark plug wires needed replacing, so I replaced those. But the problem came back and I was told it was the transmission slipping. I did my due diligence and got a 2nd opinion. Come to find out that the spark plugs replaced 2 years ago were not the correct ones and one had even gone bad. So the spark plugs may be the problem. Be sure to use the recommended ones by the recommended manufacturer. Look in your owner's manual for this info.

IT sounds like there is another problem and not the tranny. Sounds like you might be having something else going bad. Are there any check engine lights?

It sounds more like a clutch problem than tranny. You can try the oil in there, but I think the clutch is shot. Check the fluid in the clutch master and make sure it is working right, no slipping, crunching, grinding, the jerking sounds like oil on the clutch. Check it out.

I believe your transmission may be shot, Check your dipstick level to make sure your fluid level is full. If it is than your transmission may need a overhaul.

2001 Mazda 626 problem!!! Hotchevy1965 just answered my question but he mentioned somthing about a "torque converter" i dont know anything about that...and the problems were..engine light goes on for a day...

It sound like you have an issue with your torque converter slipping too much on acceleration and no un locking when you slow down. A torque converter works in a similar manner to a clutch on a manual transmission.

A vehicle is never safe to drive if you have to fight to get the car stopped.

TORQUE CONVERTER SHUDDERS THAT HAPPEN WHEN YOU HAVE STUCK CONVERTER CLUTCH. YOUR TRANSMISSION FLUID COULD BE LOW. OR DIRTY FILTER.YOUR TORQUE CONVERTER COULD HAVE INTERNAL DAMAGE.

Car running rough and stalling

I had the same problem with my dodge neon. Its your transmission slipping. My car had to have all the transmission flushed and it helped alot, but the longer you let it go, the damage could be permanent.

1994 mazda cronos 2.00 v6 auto car idles ok drives ok but when i come to a stop it stalls in gear been atuo

This sounds like a problem with the torque converter lockup system. Usually the torque converter lockup solenoid is at fault in your condition. This solenoid usually locks up the torque convertor (which acts like a clutch in an automatic transmission) when you are driving at a certain speed, and unlocks it when you press the brake, and/or come to a stop. When a torque converter stays locked up, and you stop the vehicle, it acts like a vehicle with a manual transmission, if you bring the vehicle to a complete stop without applying the clutch pedal, the brakes stall the engine. Basically, if the torque converter can't unlock, even when you come to a stop, the engine is still locked to the transmission, and even when you apply the brakes, the torque converter doesn't slip and freewheel like it should, but instead stalls the engine.

Sounds to me like a fuel related problem. When heavy accelerating more fuel is pushed through the system. I would check the fuel filter, and its possible its the fuel pump, but usually once the pump starts acting up, within a few days it will go out all together.
