There are Bolts Underneath the Seat Inside of the Frame Rails. Remove these and the Seat Belt from the Seat if attached and Unplug the Wiring Harness Under the Seat if they are Power Seats. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Not really, you just need to be carefull not to brake the plastic covers but you can get them separate than use a thin spanner and you should be able to do it without removing the seat.

I need to remove and replace a 2004 Honda Odyssey drivers seat. (power). My manual says I need a 'seat removal tool'. What is this and how do I get one?

You don't need any special tools to remove driver's seat. Only you have to do is to disconect battery at least 3 min. before disconecting cables from underseat wires. Seat is mounted to the floor with four bolts.

My 2003 Saab 9-3 has a bad amp under the drivers side seat. How best to fix or replace it?

See answer to same question you posted:

  • Remove driver's seat.
  • Unhook wiring harness to amp.
  • Remove amp.
  • Examine for obvious problems - bad connections, water damage, etc. Repair if possible.
  • If unfixable, get used one from auto parts recycling (junk) yard - make sure you take all the tools with you that you used to take out seat and amp in your car.
  • Install used amp and mate it to the radio.

Subaru seat

Yes, you will need to unbolt the seat at all 4 corners and then un-plug the harness and remove. Once you have the seat out you can turn it over and see the power motors. determine which one controls the forward back movement and replace it.

I have a 2000 jimmy the drivers seat nor the passenger seat lumbar works. And the drivers side will not lay down or move forward. I can not find the circuit fuse and it's not in the fuse panel on the...

this is common, if the seats move an any direction then its not a fuse, these dont use fuses rather a circuit breaker that resets itself and never seen one go bad, sorry for the bad news but it sounds like the lay down part is a motor or cable from motor and the lumber is a bad pump or connection under the seat. most of these that i work on have bad lumber pump motors and that are inside seat some older ones are under the seat, the way to repair is to replace the track, new or used, but if pump is inside the seat then thats another story, the covering needs to be removed. good day.

Instructions to remove Driver Seat and replace the drive cables for the seat movement.

You need to remove the 4 nuts underneath the seat and take the seat out to replace the cable. usually the metal strip inside the cable has tiny line groves at both ends. This will wear off over the years.

Power driver seat will not adjust forward or back.

My intuition tells me that the 6 way power seat track forward / reverse motor is bad. Sometimes you can replace just the one motor but most often a whole new power seat track is the only way to repair. It is not too bad to replace but the seat will have to be removed from the car and placed upside down to access the track assy. There are 2 bolts in the front of the seat and 2 bolts in the back of the seat that hold it down to the floorboard. Once it is loose you can rock the seat backwards to access and unplug the electrical connectors.
