The Cylinder Bank Where The Spark Plug Is Burning- Is taking in Fuel That is NOT Getting BURNED so That FUEL IS GOING DOWN PAST THE PISTONRINGS INTO OIL PAN Usualy there is a reason for the Spark Plug Problem Such as Bad Gap or Coil-Pack I would Check these Items.
ALSO It is DANGEROUS with Fuel IN OIL-PAN as It CAN Ignite And EXPLODE or Just Burn This is Called A PAN-FIRE I Recomend Repairing it Before You Dive it.

Sounds like you have an injector that is staying open all the time, and dumping fuel all the time and not only when its time.It is most likely the one where the plug keeps fouling. The engine light is probally showing a misfire on that cylinder also, please take it to a qualified tech to have scanned and checked

Engine problems?

Head gasket. White smoke is always a sign of water getting into engine cylinders. And if not the gasket there could be a crack in cylinder wall allowing coolant into chamber! Water does not burn!

Engine will run for sh**.

Codes P0325, P0330, P0300, P0308, P1404, P0058. I know. ..just went to get my oil change the mechanic told me he had found the engine light with those codes. It's a 2005 Dodge Durango V8-287 4.7L SOHC. I...

These codes are telling you that you are having cylinders misfiring..And the knock sensor is picking up detonation knocks..with all these codes your engine must be running really bad.. Start by checking your spark plugs.. spark plug wires, coils.. EGR system. If you allow this condition to continue it will ruin youir cats.. a very costly repair. Check to see which cylinder is misfiring.. One of the codes indicated it was #8 cylindler. run the engine and disconnect the spark plug.. if there is no change or very little change in how the engine is running.. try moving the wire to another plug and moving that plug wire to the #8.. If the Problem travels with the wire.. its the wire.. if #8 still has the problem.check the plug and coil... Keep looking until you find the ofending cylinders and repair them.. Check to make sure the hoses are hooked up to your EGR and it is functioning... post a comment here and let us know how you are doing.

Loud ticking noise when first staring, engine stalls sometimes when starting it unless I hold the gas pedal down

The TPS would be what I would do had that problem once myself solved the problem. as for the ticking noise sounds like a lifter is bleeding down as long as the noise goes away you will be ok. But may I suggest that if you are going to keep the vehicle for awhile longer you might want to have a set of lifters put in it.

Poor fuel economy 2006 dodge durango

Is the check engine light on? Do you have the tire pressure up to spec pressure? Are you using the correct weight of engine oil? Do you accelerate like an egg is under the gas pedal?

Check for a leak in the EVAP system. Also, check the gas cap. I know it sounds a bit rediculous, but it could be as simple as replacing the gas cap. Hope this helps

I have a 01 mustang gt 4.7 and getting gas in my oil. the service light came on and told me that the number 6 cylinder wasnt fiering right. what do you think the problem might be

The gas in the oil can mean you a number of problems one can be your rings in that cylinder or gone. the misfiring can be because the spark plug can fowled up with maybe oil getting in the combustion chamber this is just one of many problems it could be tho.

91 olds cutlass 2.3 having problem with gas mixing with the oil......... the 2 outside plugs are dry and the 2 middle plugs are wet with gas

The wet plugs are not firing. The engine must be running rough. Check for spark on the middle two. Find the problem and change oil and filter.

2003 durango 4.7 is hard to start!

you can check the fuel pressure, and also make sure the pressure is not bleeding down with key off. It will hold about 30 psi with key off, in order to keep injectors primed. If it is bleeding down, it will have an extended crank.

How do I keep getting gas mixed in with my oil?

Does the blazer run ok? how much gas is in the oil? You will get a certain amount of gas in oil thats normal. If your getting like a half a quart thats not normal. If your getting a lot in the oil its got to be flooding and fouling plugs. Need the whole story in order to help. Just taking a gess hear its the injection system, there was alot trouble with them thru the years like your blazer.
