Question about 2001 Toyota Sienna
My 2000 Pontiac Montana is making a thumping sound when I let off the gas, it sounds louder if turn the wheel slightly to the right. The ABS Light comes on when the temp is below zero and the passenger side brakes lock. Warmer temps, doesn't happen, and in the summer if the weather is damp and humid, the RPMS go crazy and it dies. Please let me know if you have had any of these issues, what the solution was and if you think any are related. Thanks!
The thumping sound like the U-joints in the front wheels are bad. If the brakes lock with ABS sytem, then one or more wheel sensors are probably bad. As for the RPM's, one of the intake air sensors may be bad, either the IAT or MASS sensor. Hope this helps
