Question about 1992 Isuzu Trooper
The check engine light comes on. I have heard that the older Isuzu´s (pre 1996) have a different OBD system than the OBDII. The codes are read out from the check engine light flashes after you connect together the appropriate connectors that are under the dash. But I am not sure which connecters and which wires you connect together. Does anyone know how to do this. Also does anyone have a manual for a 1992 Trooper. The driveability section plus wiring diagrams is what I require.
I found a free download, workshop manual online. It is 3500+ page PDF that includes every diagram and all info that you could possibly need. I dont remember the exact website but if you google iszu trooper pdf free download etc. you should have no trouble locating it.

Cycle the key off and on three times... last time remaining on... count the flashes from the check engine light... it's easier to have someone write them down as you read them so you don't miss any.
