Question about 2006 Ford Laser

1 Answer

1994 ford laser won't start

Car has no start after being driven 1 to 4 times in a day. Starts as normal, good then next time nothing. Will start again as normal after 21/2 hours -honestly its like some silly ritual- New battery. Take to get checked and won't do it again few days then back to no go. Has started after bonnet slam and once with rolling start (it's auto) but seems like just coincidence. Please help where do we start???

The 12 volt battery(LUCAS 065/3) on my FORD FIESTA 1100cc is 4 years old, in that time i have only driven 1,600 miles as my journeys are usually very local. I make sure i use the car twice a week to keep...

Running so few miles has accelerated the aging of the battery - the battery never had a chance to fully recharge in such small trips -  so now you have to replace it a year sooner than usual.
Just replace it.

My 1996 ford probe se has problems with stalling.

sometimes my 1996 ford probe has problems starting - have to try several times and most times it just starts without problems. it doesn't matter whether it has been driven or just sits for days. i've had starter and starter solonoid replaced. battery is fine. it runs perfect though.

Intermittent no start, very strange, very confusing

Sounds like fuel pump going out. I was told by a friend that the pump can get stuck and that by knocking on the fuel tank or by attempting to start that it can kick the pump out of the bad spot and it will start. But it is a sign that it needs to be replaced.

Starter?the care will not start sometimes....

this is probably the starter solenoid. When this happens again try hitting the solenoid with something and see if it starts right up. I am assuming your battery is fine and the connections have been checked as good. you can replace the solenoid alone if that is the problem and it is an easy fix.

Battery needs jump start if car is not driven for 3 days.

u either have a shorted cell in the battery or the system has a current draw like a glove box light being left on, try disconnecting the battery the next time you leave it, if it starts ok then u have a current draw and need to find the source of that draw.
