We use Fram oil filters and Valvoline oil 5-20 in our two taurus and 50/50 mix Prestone antifreeze and the brakes we get from NAPA and the NAPA oil is the same as valvoline and cheaper

Oil in the radiator

That is likely coolant that has broken down and appears to be oil but it is not. Remove the tank and flush it out and then flush the entire cooling system.

Check engine stay all the time 2005 mercury mariner

Hello,

There is a lot of things that cause a engine lite to stay on.

Here is just a few things, that will have engine light stay on:

Service is due, some cars have that automatically do this when time for regular service.

Breaks, Some cars have a sensor that after a certain range on your pads, it triggers the service Light.

Oil Low, or water/antifreeze low.

Emission problem, Like fuel filter needs replacing or possible 02 sensor not working ( part of your Cadillac converter)

Battery not fulling charging, or alternator not putting out proper amps. etc,,

This list can go on and on, most the time if you have low oil, or break issue, there is separate warning lights for that.

Here is what I think, sometimes when you have something wrong with your car, if you checked your oil level, water/antifreeze level, breaks seem good, and all your other fluids are good, and your car is running good and as normal, what best to do, is take it in and have them put it on there computer, this will tell you if there is something your over looking, by normally a code that comes up on there system. Sometimes the code will come up on there computer and not on your dash warning lights. Auto Zone, normally can do this for free with there hand held computer and tell you what comes up and what to check out. And all Garages if everything is ok, can with computer turn your engine light off if everything is ok. But for sure get it checked, and don't just assume it is a faulty engine light coming on, most the time there is a reason. Thanks Mike

Oil in water redatoer

I don't know what kind of Chrysler product you have but if the oil is red/pink you probably have a crack in the transmission cooler. If the oil in the radiator is gray you probably have a serious engine problem like a bad head gasket or crack in the block or head.

Need best way to clean coolant from crank in 5.7 chevy

Not good my friend most or all of the coolant should be gone by now. sounds like you might have a hairline crack alowing antifreeze to newly enter your crankcase. Antifreeze in an engine for more than 100 miles turns into a creamy foam that exits your drain plug. and if the engine overheated and stalled out definitly. sorry Man.

Afer a trip there was oil splattered on the engine but very little in it could it be the oil pump

Most of the oil was missing out of the motor? or there was very little oil on the outside of the motor? or there was oil on the top of the motor and the oil level was OK? Change the oil and mesure how much oil was drained out. If it's nearly as much as belongs in it. ( 4 1/2 ) V6 5 quarts. Mainly chack to see if oil is leaking out. Drive somewhere and then park it and look under it right away. Then go eat dinner or something and then come back and look under it again. oil spots antifreeze spots and power steering spots and trnamission oil spots all need to be looked into. I fyou let it leak something is going to break. Oil or antifreeze that not changed on time will cause real problems and leaks too. It you have oil pump issues you have oil light on at idel hot in gear too. Lights on with the key on and the engine off and it goes right out when you crank it to start it. Oil pump is ok. If the light doesn't work that needs to be looked innto.

I have oil in my radiator

Bad news :(
A seal is leaking and most likely the head gasket which is allowing high pressure engine oil to be forced into the low pressure cooling system.

Have a head gasket problem. Combustion gases in my cooling system. Over 200,000 miles. Expensive to fix. Any quick fix suggestions. i.e. antifreeze plugging additive ?

No Quick fixes here. If you have that is is either the head gasket or a cracked head or Cracked block. None of these is pleasant or cheap. The head Gasket or Head itself you could repair on your own but it will take some time. You should get this repaired as quick as possible before it does more damage to the engine.

Oil in overflow of radiator.

If you have coolant mixed in you oil you have blown a head gasket at the very least. You will have to pull the heads and replace the gasket.

Replace head & new timing belt

It sounds like the head gasket is leaking.

Is there also antifreeze in your oil? That may be causing your oil light to come on.

I would quit driving it until the situation can be resolved.

If you need more help post a comment and I will get back to you.
