Okay help please.We have a 99 yukon when it rains or we wash it it goes nuts!!will run fine than will start to shake,bog down ,like no power,hit gas and it shutters and chugs a bit than will start to go than bog down again.than comes out of it
Till now we had to replace starter,Thought it was fine! we washed it no problems drove about 30 miles and shut it off,went to leave no start.Starter kicking back,crank over no start,whole motor clunking.Would not stop kick back.starter spun out smoking and all.Replaced again fine.Than we washed it.drove about 15 miles started to run like ****.smelled like sulfer or a match that was put out,dying out,back fireing,while ideling.tried to take off bogged down ,no power would hardley go than.took off and than bogged down again.dies in itersection coasted to side of road.shut off tried to restart no go.starter kicking back,broke bolt off right in block,Changed crank position sensor,still kicking back and broke off another bolt any ideas?

Check your coil for cracks or signs of corrosion. If you instead have a distributor cap, do the same. If it all looks okay, start the vehicle and pop the hood. Get a water bottle or something to spray water with and start getting the wires and coil and distributor wet until the truck stalls. Make sure to do it slowly so you can tell what part you soaked that caused the truck to stall.
is it auto? if not drop it into 2nd release hand/park brake and rock the vehicle back and forth this essencialy does the same . if auto look for where the solonoid is attatched somewhere underneath theres a large (flush) grub screw. tap with light hammer just between solonoid attatchment and screw if problem persists have the starter bench tested! hope this helps AK
its the fuel pump, i have 2001 GMC yukon and thats what it did, it would start an run, idle just fine, but put it on ther computer to test it, it showed lean on both banks,meaning that the fuel pump was going out, was loosing pressure, i got a pump for 256.00 had a frind help me change it, it runs just fine,,
