Question about 1988 Dodge D-Series Pickups
I have a 1988 dodge ramcharger it is tbi fuel injection I have to push the gas halfway down to get it to start we cleand the plugs and injectors checked the cap/rotor and coil checked for spark and when i drive down the road it stalls it is burning rich blowing black smoke but it rums fine for a minute the starts doing the same thing runs like **** and it backfires through the exaust and the throttle body and when it backfires through the throttle body it starts a fire.
This sure sounds like a timing issue, but you could also change your fuel filter and have a fuel pressure test to eliminate lack of fuel issues
