CHECK ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT COULD BE LOOSE NEED ADJUSTING OR GLAZED NEED REPLACING. IF ALL IS GOOD, CHECK ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE OUT PUT AT BATTERY SHOULD BE 13.5 - 14.5 VOLTS. IF NOT ALTERNATOR FAULTY BUT CHECK ALTERNATOR BATTERY FEED AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR WIRES FOR LOOSE CONNECTION OR DAMAGED FRAYED WIRES. Car doesn't respond when gas pedal is pushed when it is driven in hot weather; engine does not stall (1991 lexus ls400

I had the same problem with my 1992 LS400. My Lexus mechanic fixed it by replacing the MAF(Mass Air Flow).

This used to drive me crazy when the weather was hot.

Oil pump not raing pressure

If this is a 3.0 liter V6 the oil pump is driven directly by the crankshaft. This pump is located directly behind the timing belt sprocket on the crank. To access it you'll have to remove bolts from the front portion of the oil pan and remove, for the most part, everything off the lower front portion of the motor. If you feel comfortable a good shade-tree mechanic you should be able to do this, expect a full weekend though. While doing this go ahead and replace timing belt and belt tensioner too. In truth I can't imagine this pump failing. They are very simple yet very rugged. Are you able to put another gauge on a oil line to test true oil pressure? Curious to what problems you are having?

Thanks,
Tom

Auto transmission problem in mitsubushi montero suv

Well if sounds like possible a vacuum modulator or if the fluid and filter haven't been changed in say 40,000 miles or more I would recommend changing the tranny fluid and tranny filter.
