Question about 1999 Daewoo Lanos

Need a Socket? Or special Wrench to take off my wheels!?

Bought the car from someone, and they didn't say anything about needing a special tool to remove the wheels.
Any ideas here?

Hi how are you if you dont have the wheel lock you can get the lug nut off by getting a nut and bolt remover kit some parts stors have them or from a specialty tool company (craftsman,snap-on) they both sell them and they will remove the lug nut.then just replace with a standard lugnut.

Front wheel bearing?

Requires several special tools that most people do not own. Like and impact wrench, large 28-35mm socket, star sockets, torque wrench, ball joint spreader, etc. Cheaper to have someone else install it verses the cost in obtaining the correct tools.

I am trying to replace the speed sensor and cant get a wrench on the bolt . what size socket ,wrench fits or is there a special tool that i need

Hello: There should be a 10mm bolt head that holds a clip. This clip keeps the speed sensor in place. Use a 10 mm wrench, socket to remove bolt/screw.

No special tools are needed, just use a open end wrench or adjustable wrench.

There is a lug on the tire that cannot be removed by the standard lug-wrench. What is the socket required to remove that one lug?

That is a special wrench that people usually keep in the glove compartment or another secure place. I keeps potential thieves from being able to steal the wheels unless they have the special wrench tool. If they are Mitsubishi wheels, check with the dealer or the brand name of the wheels on there if you don't have the special tool.

Good luck

Removal of starter.

You need a socket extension longer than the starter. A starter wrench may help. That wrench is sort of U shaped.

Another help is where you turn the wheels of your car. You may find more room to work and drop the starter with the steering wheel in different positions.
