You've a faulty EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation)valve problem. It has to do with emission control and you will not get enough power to achieve speed for trans shift higher when the EGR is bad. Replace the EGR and all will be well.
Is the battery and the battery connection in good conditions? Try to charge the battery overnight with a battery charger. If then it starts your engine, the battery may be ok. I recently had an issue with my car that the connection to the battery was corroded that was not visible just by looking at the battery. The connection had to be cleaned and solved the issue. If the battery and generator in your vehicle is ok, then it must be a short circuit in the car that drains the battery. Locating that may require shop visit.
i recently replaced the battery in my 2006 X5 diesel, now the central locking is not working, I am in a remote location and not able to attend a BMW dealer, is there anyway I can resent the central locking. Cheers allen
You need to check for any lighting left on overnight if not try to fully recharge your battery and perform a load test on it to see if it will hold the charge if so possible drainage off of interior lighting switches or alarm possible
Hi kuldipdhanja this sounds like it could be an internal fault with the video module or the sat nav drive, you could try discontecting the battery negative lead for 15 minutes to reset the control units, you will have to remove the spare wheel and unfasten the air compressor bracket to get to the battery, this fix may only be temporary but it is alot cheaper than replacing parts. regards mark.
