SOURCE: find location of VIN number on smart car Yreg

it should be on your registration and your insurance card and also you can find on bootm of windsheild, if you stand outside the car on driverside and look towards the bottom of windsheild you will see a tag with vin #.

Needing to know where the ground is for the fuel injection? On a 2005 CTS Cadillac.

no engine told nor odometer miles. ouch or VIN.
P0318 (service) manual quote.
Driving over rough roads can cause engine speed variations that are similar to an engine Misfire condition and may cause false detection of a misfire. OBD II regulations allow the misfire detection test to be disabled for a short time while driving on rough road conditions.
or the 3.2L cam belt is SHOT (slipped)
read this 2 times for effect, P030x errors are masked.
allow the misfire detection test to be disabled

we get post here all the time, the no start posts
that the user never once looks at the dash IMMO lamp

and page page 2-20 in your free users guide.

it states

Immobilizer Operation
Your vehicle is equipped
with a passive
theft-deterrent system.
The system works when you turn the key to ON. The
key uses a transponder that matches an immobilizer
control unit in your vehicle. The correct key will start the
vehicle. If the key is ever damaged, you may not be
able to start your vehicle.
When trying to start the vehicle, if the engine does not
start and the security light comes on, the key may
have a damaged transponder. Turn the ignition off and
try again.
If the engine still does not start, and the key appears to
be undamaged, try another ignition key. At this time,
you may also want to check the fuse. See Fuses
and Circuit Breakers on page 5-96. If the engine still
does not start with the other key, your vehicle needs
service. If your vehicle does start, the first key may be
faulty. See your dealer who can service the
theft-deterrent system to have a new key made.
It is possible for the theft-deterrent system decoder to
learn the transponder value of a new or replacement
key. Up to 10 additional keys may be programmed for
the vehicle. This procedure is for learning additional
keys only.
Canadian Owners: If you lose or damage your keys,
only a GM dealer can service the theft-deterrent system
to have new keys made. To program additional keys
you will require two current driver's keys. You must add
a step to the following procedure. After Step 2, repeat
Steps 1 and 2 with the second current driver's key. Then
continue with Step 3.
To program a new key do the following:
1. Verify that the new key has PK3+ stamped on it.
2. Insert the current driver's key in the ignition
and start the engine. If the engine will not start see
your dealer for service.

also not scanning as you crank the engine ,you can miss imporant DTC errors. and never good that.
check all fuses
watch IMMO lamp
scan and crank.
do not throw parts as that invites, adding more bad parts<< oops,
check for spark on all cylinders.
check fuel pressure using a real gauge, for spec pressure, (dribble tests are useless)
PSI fuel is 4 answers, for 4 engines, in the service manual.
5.7L 43psi.
3.6 =52psi
2.8= 52 psi.
3.2> ???

3.2 is not chain drive.cam.

has belt drive cams. they can not be ignored ever.
if the cam belts slip (as all do ignored, the engine cannot start
and may cause silly 318 errors. from gross cam/crank relationship gross errors .
