Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Alero
A bit less than a week ago, my car was sideswiped by a car, almost totally destroying my drivers side door mirror. I need instruction on removing and replacing the mirror. Also, I have an unusual stalling problem with my car. Sometimes, I am driving along and it stalls out. The battery light and the oil light come on right when it stalls out. I have recently replaced the battery, the positive bolt on the positive battery terminal to the battery, and the fuel pump relay. Not sure if it is fixed or not yet. If you can help me out, I would appreciate it.
To remove the mirror you need to remove theinner door panel and the bolts will be up high. Just follow the electical wire to the connection which is about a few inches away and the mirror is off. You may not even need to remove the panel if you have a plastic section on the top of the door near the window. Your stalling could be caused by your theft system, the next time it happens check to see if the security light is flashing. It could also be a bad connection at the fuse box under the hood, or at the fuel pump, electrical problems are the worst, you just have to go step by step. check for codes first before anything.
