Question about 2002 GMC Yukon XL
When i step on the gas, it makes noise like it is revving up more than it should. i have seen the odometer jump up to 2500 and then go right back down to 1000. what could be wrong with it?
Does the chk. engine light come on when it does this? It is normal for it to rev up some when you first start it 2500 is a lot, but not really that bad if it comes back down within 2 or 3 secounds (depending on the outside temp might be alittle longer). there is a couple of things that could cause this One is the T.P.S. Throutle positioning sensor, Two I.A.S. idel air sensor. You did not say if it does this just when its cold or all the time even when its warm. It will do that when its cold but should go away when it warms up. If it does not go away when it warms up i have to say its one or maybe both of them sensors.
