Does the chk. engine light come on when it does this? It is normal for it to rev up some when you first start it 2500 is a lot, but not really that bad if it comes back down within 2 or 3 secounds (depending on the outside temp might be alittle longer). there is a couple of things that could cause this One is the T.P.S. Throutle positioning sensor, Two I.A.S. idel air sensor. You did not say if it does this just when its cold or all the time even when its warm. It will do that when its cold but should go away when it warms up. If it does not go away when it warms up i have to say its one or maybe both of them sensors.

My 2003 gmc youkon is squealing when you step on the gas

It sounds like your serpentine belt is going. I would have that checked out for wear and also have the pulleys that coencide with it checked as well.

Lights or fuse for my speed odemeter guage and heater/air conditioning system

These lights for the dash are controlled by a rheostat instrument control dimmer switch next to the main light switch for the headlights, it is either turned off (have seen this dozens of times) or it is defective. Below is a picture of the switch assembly I speak of. The thumb wheel next to the knob is the dimmer control.

01 Yukon Transmission Problem Come and Goes Without warning my transmission stopped working. I drove a few miles to the gas station without any problems. After filling up, I went to drive away and it...

Take it to a reputable trans shop. These transmissions are controlled by a computer. If this is a 2500 or 3500 Yukon, I bet it is equipped with the 4L80E transmission. These have a tendency to allow transmission fluid into the large electrical connector, and it shorts out wires and can make things go crazy. There is a way to silicone the leak and fix it(videos on YouTube) or a good honest shop can do it without replacing parts.

Gas tank wont' fill to specs

Based upon my experience, I would say it's a manufacturing defect. Something in the filler or the tank itself. I've seen cases where the dealer replaced the tank and related parts when this is happening.

I have a 2005 yukon xl engine that whines very fast when you push the gas and the oil pressure gauge jumps up at the same time

the whine is probably a bad bearing in the alternator or a idler pulley you can take off belt and crank up for a few seconds to see if noise goes away.if it does then it is in one of the pulleys i have seen a lot of these alternators make noise. your oil pressure will go up some when you rev up
