Question about 1991 Acura Legend
I have a 1990 acura legend coupe with 239,000 miles on it. I have to consider whether to replace the clutch which is going out now..or to sell the car/save for a "newer" car. I have some sentimental attatchment to this car since it's my first car and it was given to me from a family member, however, the car does have a lot of miles on it-and someone told me that if I replace the clutch it will just wear the engine down very quickly..is this true?
Sounds to me like someone wants you to get rid of the car because of the milage thats on it, that is alot of miles, but a new clutch is not goin to wear down the engine, someone is just afraid its not going to stop with just a clutch that its going to nickel and dime you to death. what you got to understand is someone is looking out for your best intrest, you got to weigh out what you want to do spend the money for a new clutch, or put that money towards a newer car, its not sentimental any more its economics.
