Question about 2006 Chevrolet Impala
The 2006 impala i own doesnt want to hold the rpms at eny speed
it move back and forth then the engine light comes on
very poor gas milage aprox 24.2 highway
loss of power
Dealer only by the sound of it,start changing parts willy nilly and it will cost more in the long run than a fleecing at the dealers.A lot of these newer cars are using encrypted software via an internet connection to the factory,The dealer doesnt evan have the software ,then you need manufacturers only OBDII cable as you ever tried buying a connector with all 16 pins in it.Well as for these plug in weekend mechanic code readers ,save your money because although they may work on a 96 vehicle anything from 2007 starting with renault they will show the wrong code because thats the idea. This is to stop general mechanics from working ,dealer only .So if your kid wants to be a mechanic then put him off unless you can afford to buy him a dealership, because this line of work is becoming a dinasaur and obsolete like a valve radio.
