Hello/ The P-0158 code realtes to the Oxygen Sensor.

Specifically, it is as follows: Oxygen Sensor Circuit has High Voltage; Bank 2 Sensor 2.

If it under warranty, take it to a dealer to get it replaced free of charge. If not, go tho a dealer and tell them that you want Oxygen Senso Bank 2, Sensor 2, and have them tel you where it is. Please do not buy an "aftermarket" sensor, they have been known to read incorrectly, and you problem will not be solved.

I hope that this helps you, and that you will award me a "FixYa" rating for my assistance. 4 blue diamonds. Thanks.

The check engine light and VSC light came on in my 2005 highlander. 168,000 miles

P0420 & P0430 You need new catalytic converter
The P0430 check engine light code, like P0420, means the catalyst system efficiency is below the required threshold. Simply put, this means your car is adding more pollution into the air than it's supposed to.

How to fix GX470 lexus suv 2007 vsc/tract/ engine light on

On this make the warning lights all come on together, the check engine light is the cause of all.
Hello
When the service engine soon light (Also called the check engine light or engine management light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that Powertrain Control Module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls you may not feel any difference in the way the engine runs, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.

Check engine light and vsc trac off lights stay on. Cannot turn svc off by pressing button on Dash

Hi, have you scanned the vehicle to see why your check engine light is on? IF no, you need to. Toyota/Lexus computer system illumniates both engine light and VSC lights whenver a fault occurs in either unit. VSC or stability control is like trac-control or ABS braking system. Get car scanned and make sure all computers are scanned for additional codes, repair them first reset lights and test drive. ON a side note, fixing check engine light will usually take VSC light away also, however sometimes the VSC system will glitch out and a Steering Angle relearn is necessary, it takes about 3mins to perform and a good quality scan tool with 2004 current software. Good Luck.

All of the sudden my check engine light, my VSC light, and my TRAC OFF light came on. Any thoughts?

You need to have the ecm scanned for codes. The VSC and TRAC OFF lights are one just because the Check engine light is on. Once you clear the code in the ecm they will go off too.

I just had a few warning lights come on in my 08 Toyota Highlander base model. They were the malfunction indicator lamp, the vsc off, and the trac indicators.

Hello. Those three lights are all designed to illuminate when you have an issue with the electronic sensors on the engine. To properly identify the reason for the lights being on, you will need to get your vehicle hooked up to a scan-tool. AutoZone provides this service for free. Get the car scanned, and get the codes stored in the memory of the car's computer back to us for further assistance.

Check engine light and vsc lights come on but do not stay on

Had something similar with my 2wd 2004. When I first bought the car saw this 1 time in the first 25K miles, but not again until 6 months ago. I now have 94K and all the MIL laps lit up, but it only appread during high speed driving. (50 mph+). After driving around town slower, the lights would go off. (VSC lights, and all would come on). The dealership troubleshot and told me it was a steering position switch (which they said they hadn't seen in a Highlander go bad, but the computer and tech assured me that was the problem. $700 (300 parts, 400 labor).!! I made it clear that it better be the fix. After I got the car they said they drove it and the problem was gone. I took it out on the expressway and the lights came back on. I came back and took the technician for a drive and showed him. He scanned again and found a metal piece stuck in the ABS pick-up in the drivers rear wheel. Removed chunk, reset codes, problem resolved. Dealer swears I had a bad position switch but I don't believe it. The upside is with almost 100K miles, other than oil, 1 set of brakes and i set of tires, thats the only repair on this vehicle.

Also for those that have A/C heat problems, pull the knob off of the heat/cool selector (red/blue) and tighten the nut that holds the potentiometer on, I learned this from another forum and found my loose!
