Open the driver's door. On the exposed end of the dashboard is the fuse panel cover. Remove the cover, it contains a list of what fuse controls which circuit. Other large fuse links are inside the top of the battery cover under the hood.

Fuse number/location for air conditioning compressor 2000 beetle

Also, the car's blower motor/climate control is controlled by the 25 amp fuse No. 25 in the fuse block located at the end of your dashboard.

Heater motor in a Beetle 2000 is not working


Does it work only on hgih speed? If yes, likely the blower motor resister in the plenum.
Otherwise, blower motor can be bad, switch can be bad, or fuse or relay.

I have a 99 vw beetle the blower motor is not working. I have no power at the motor and I am not sure if there is and resistors that I am missing?


there should be a resistor for the interior fan motor,not sure of location,probably near fan motor,possibly blown.have you checked all fuses?

Check heater blower motor fuse,
Check operation of blower motor control relay,
Check blower motor not faulty- will run if 12V power directly applied to it.

I can't locate the blower motor on my 2000 vw beetle.


You could have just joined a VW forum and get both negative and positive comments for free. Real world answers just as long as you don't get bothered by negative people. I think I know what your next ? will be. Why doesn't my blower work in the lower speed and only in the highest?

The fuses are located on the drivers side of car left of your dash cluster.

vw uses coil on plugs so each plug has a coil under engine cover on top of valve cover check fuses first for your other problem
