Breaks My breaks go out then they start working and then out again

  • Look at the inside of the back wheels, see if they are wet. Check the master cylinder, see if it's low. If the wheels are not wet and master is not low, sounds like the master clyinder is bad.

This is Caused by a Brake Master Cylinder that is on the Verge of Stopping. When this Stops Working you will have no Brakes. I would get this Fixed ASAP. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

My 2000 Ram 2500 AC blows cold until I step on the breaks. As soon as I break it starts blowing real hot. Starts cold again after I turn it off and turn it back on. Break again, it blows hot again...

check for a fault in the climate control module that is affected by a power surge/ depletion from the brake circuit. It would appear that the ac compressor is being switched off by the fault and switches on again when you recycle the switch( could be a relay to the ac compressor.)

My 2003 suburban got its breaks installed and the guy didn't bleed out breaks so now the abs light turns on and it stall's after truck at a temperature and need to let it cool down to start it up again

Why not take it back to the place that did the work?

Obviously-- you won't go there again & find their ability
to work on vehicles unacceptable

Didn't get what you paid for & maybe not even that

also if u take battery off for 10 mins, hook battery back up again, turn car on, hold in break paddle for 35 seconds, then still holding in break paddle hold in handbrake button for 10 seconds, release all and start car up, press break button a few times, turn car off again take out key, lock and open car then press break button again and now all should b back to normal

Abs ligth an breake turn on, the break fluid is Ok level up, the car is VOLVO S40 2002 1.9 Turbo, the car breake ok. what i do?

Very common problem on Volvo , ABS module is bad.
This is not effecting the brake system , meaning you'll still have normal brake operation , but on slippery road Anti Lock System won't work.
That system prevent wheels to be locked up by driver and prevent car going into spin.

1989 Chevy pickup we replaced all of the break lines and master

There is probably still just some air in the system, it only takes a small amount to have no pedal. Did you bench bleed the master cyl before installing? Start bleeding the brakes again, start with the wheel the greatest distance from the master cyl. bleeding until no air is evident, working your way closer to the master cyl, doing the closest wheel to it last. Check all the new brake line connections. A slightly loose connection would allow air into the system, making it impossible to bleed it all out. Make sure the master cyl level never drops too low, or you will be pulling in air and have to start all over. Good luck.

Break failiure

Well sounds to me like you might have some moisture in the fluid which can cause the breaks to fail. Have your break system flushed totally out and refilled. Brake fluid is very touchy. If you leave brand new brake fluid bottle open for a few days it will draw moisture from the air and ruin the fluid.
