Question about 2002 GMC Yukon XL

Broken antenna i have a 2005 yukon Denali and i need to replace they entire antenna from the antenna base the antenna baseon my truck is located above the front fender antenna snapped off taking screw piece with it from base so I need a new antenna and base. When I get the parts how do I replace them?

    antenna broke off dealer wants big buck to install a new one. Who is the idiot that designed an antenna that requires taking the entire dash off inorder to replace.Why not just screw a new one on? no wonder gmc is going out of business

under the wheel arch there is normally a splash guard this must be removed so as to get at the base of the antenna . joe

camshaft sensor located above crankshaft pulley, the camshaft sensor mounted on the front timing cover above the crankshaft pulley.

2005 Yukon XL, third brake light intermittent


Remove bulb, make sure it sits tight in the socket. make sure socket is not burnt up (brown or black in color) Check bulb, if the filament inside is loose or discolored, replace as nesessary. Check brake light switch under driver side dash above brake pedal. make sure it is adjusted correctly.

check in the area above the rim of the oil filter...they're typically located very close to the filter.

Gas tank wont' fill to specs


Based upon my experience, I would say it's a manufacturing defect. Something in the filler or the tank itself. I've seen cases where the dealer replaced the tank and related parts when this is happening.
