Re: i cant start my car with the remote starter
You normally have to while the car is running transmition in neutral push the brake pedal, put the emergancy brake on, release the foot brake, press the remote start button on the remote, take keys out of ignition switch, car should stay running, get out, press the lock button on remote starter remote, car should shut off, and now is set

you may have a safety switch attached to the clutch thats faulty,id start with the switch first its not real hard to replace its mounted to the clutch pedal bracket ,other than that it may be an ignition switch
Could be as simple as a blown fuse for the ETACS module, but it sounds more like a problem with the anti theft immobilizer system. Does your car have remote keyless entry? And is the key you are using a factory key or one someone made? (factory key will be encased in bulky black plastic with hyundai logo) The transponder in the key might have worn out and is not talking to the car anymore. Some hyundais use the radio antenna to receive the signal, is there an antenna on the car? Is it hooked up? If it is a problem with the key and immobilizer system, It will unfortunately need towed to a dealer and reprogrammed.
yes it has a key slot in gear when starter gear engages to start the key pops in to slot and locks in place to start motor when it returns it frees gear, have you ever herd that grinding sound when you dont thank your cars running and you try to start it,its a good thing it turns freely.
Try running a wire from the little terminal of the starter motor to the Positive on the battery , Disconnect the little wire thats on there first. No need to turn the key on as we are bypassing this. This should cause the starter to turn.Make sure that if its a manual that its in Neutral. If the starter motor turns then the problem is either the relay or the ignition switch.Or if its an automatic Transmission it could be the inhibitor switch . Hope this helps Cheers George
