Code P0505 is Idle control system malfunction. You can tweak the idle level of these, but I hope you're patient. After working on mine (I did not replace, he just cleaned and adjusted), for about an hour and many adjustments, my mechanic was able to get mine just right. Started running perfect and service engine light went off as well.

2006 Nissan Pathfinder. I was driving my vehicle when I heard a sound like a spring popped and it hit the pavement and sound like metal but I could not find anything in the road. It still drives.

Get the suspension springs checked. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface with no-one in it. Stand back and carefully look at the vehicle. Sometimes when a spring fails the vehicle will lean towards the broken side. The tail ends of the spring can break off when they are old and the broken bits don't always fall out when it happens.
The stall could be something separate. Do you have any warning lights on the dash? If the charcoal canister is starting to fail it often causes the check engine light to turn on as it will affect the emissions. This will trigger other engine sensors to flag up a trouble code.

I ve nissan pathfinder 2005 model, service engine soon light on. we used a consul and got fault code PO463 fuel level sensor high input. right now car will not start. advice

failure rate of these sensors is very high .nissan extended the warranty period on these rather than issuing a recall.contact local dealer replacement would almost certainly be under warranty.as for no start there is currently a campaign to replace ecm relays for this issue but since obviously your fuel gauge isnt accurate you may just be out of gas.

What kind of fuel does the '06 pathfinder use

For optimum performance, you should use high-test or premium gasoline in your Nissan Pathfinder, as per Nissan's specifications. Using a lower octane gasoline can result in premature ignition which can in the long run damage your engine.

Put premium gas.

I have a 1988 nissan pathfinder that we just put new plugs, plugwires, distributer cap and roter button in and it starts great and idols but when i step on the gas it cuts out and backfires. i have tried...

Chek the throttle sensor and mass air flow sensors.

You did not mention at timing you have the engine, it should be at 8 degrees BTDC.

Sugges you have the crank angle sensor check out also. Is inside the distributor, and last check your power transistor, it has a screw and nut in the back, gets very rusty and prevents good ground contact.
