Question about 2000 Volkswagen Golf
My ABS light is on and the handbreak light is blinking. It Does a "beep" every second. Sometimes it stops for a week or two and then it starts again for a few days. I thinks the probleme is that there's a wire thats old or something like that. If you can find the solution I thank you but if not, I jsut want to remove the speaker that does the high pitch "beep" sound. how do I do that? the light arent bothering me too much. I juste want that "beep" to go away.
Hi there if you have vag com you can go into the can bus system and switch off the abs all together taking out all the lights and the beep or you can code the abs unit to 000001 which should also switch the abs off on a mk4 golf

When your brake pads are worn down to near minium, its flashes, ABS light on and off and keeps your brake light on perminant. You either have to change your brake pads or discs or propably both. Check the brake fluid level as well. Every ABS system after a while make's air pressure in its system, get the brakes bleed too it will make a difference.
