Have the alternator tested and if you have over 40,000 miles check out the drive belt and i was working on my expedition and it was one of the coil pack on one of the spark plug that was bad and cause the truck to shake and miss

For something like this it could be a number of differnet things. I suggest that the next time your vehicle cuts out on you check for sufficent ignition spark. you can do this by removing a spark plug wire from a spark plug and holding it close to a ground on the engine (or if your brave enough you can grab it lol). and if you do not have spark then i would suggest to replace the ignition coil. if you do have spark then i would check for proper fuel pressure.

Driving fine suddenly stoped engine kicks but just wont start.

Hello;
Have you checked your fuel pump relay. It is located on the panel with the fuses under the hood. If the relay is not working, the truck will crank but not start. This is a typical problem of vehicles that run fine and then suddenly quit. Hope this helps, rate me highly please.

My cavalier won't start

Okay there should be a plug on there make sure it is pluged in all the way. If you have someone to help you pull one of the spark plugs out plug it in to the wire (Do Not Hold Wire with Bear Hands) use insulated pliers.try to start car if you don't see a spark from plug then it means that the coil pack is bad. If it does spark then it is possible thet it may be a fuel problem.

CAR CUT OFF WHEN DRIVING

Have u checked for spark? U can pull a plug wire off, install a plug in the wire (saves u from taking a plug out), place plug on metal surface, crank engine while someone watches for a spark. If no spark check coil and ignitor (inside distributor). If u have spark check to see if u have gas making it to plugs. Crank engine over (no more than 10 seconds, give it a 10 second rest, try again for 10 sec. etc, ) After doing this for several minutes, pull a plug and check it--it should be wet from gas. If the plug is dry, u aren't getting gas (change fuel filter, check fuel pump). countrycurt0

After driving for 25-30 minutes, the car won't start for about 3 hours

Any chance you've got 'Titanium' spark plugs. We had this same issue, and found it was caused by a mechanic replacing our plugs with the titanium ones. If they were hot, they didn't ignite properly during startup. If you let the car cool, it would start right up (~2 hours). Changing the plugs for good quality old-style plugs and the problem hasn't occurred since.
