Try pumping the brakes 3 or 4 times with the truck running in 'park'.

The light resets itself in our '01 Tahoe because it's a float switch. Recheck the fluid level.

Reply back if that doesn't do it.

Was it low? And have you checked the sensor? And the reservoir is filled to the fill line as well, correct?

Pull it out of the reservoir and turn it upside down. If the light stays on, then the sensor is probably bad. If it goes off, I'll have to dig into this deeper.

    Reply what you find.

This condition may be caused by a false reading during off-road driving or in high slush conditions.

Correction
Do This - Reprogram the HVAC control module.
Don't Do This - Do not replace the coolant level sensor, HVAC control module or radiator surge tank.

A revised calibration has been developed to address this condition. Technicians are to reprogram the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control module with the latest software available on TIS2WEB. Refer to the Service Programming System procedures in SI. As always make sure your Tech 2 is updated with the latest software version.

You can, but the factory recommends straight antifreeze so it can mix with the other coolant in the block.
