I had the same problem, i dont remember the name of the piece but its mounted right in between the driver side headlight and the radiator. its a relay that turns the fans on when the car gets hot. its mounted on the body of the car. there should be wires leading from the radiator to the piece im talking about.... good luck I also paid about 35 dollars for the piece

2002 dodge caravan sport overheated. It has a new radiator and hoses; we changed the thermostat and replaced the relay and pigtail for the cooling fans after it overheated but we still have the overheating...

Double check the thermostat and make sure the water pump is doing its job. To check the thermostat, simply take it out and reassemble the housing with out the unit. Run the engine and hopefully it will get warm to hot. If not check the pump.

1999 Dodge Caravan Overheating When issue started, thought it was a sticky thermastat. Changed that. Then overheated again and noticed the fans spin speed was slow then it kept poping fuses. Used a code...

Worn out or defective fan (spinning slow) and drawing too much amperage, thus blowing the fuse should be a pretty good indicator if all connections have been inspected and confirmed good and clean. I'd double check voltage to fan is up to spec, and use a clamp on amp-meter to verify amperage draw, and if too high, I'd change it. You should be able to get just motor to replace from parts store, provided all other components of the fan are still in good shape.

93 dodge caravan - fan was not coming on and the air conditioner will not come on. replaced fan, radiator, coolant sensor and thermastat. Checked all relay's i could find, checked all the fuses in the fuse...

The fan is protected by a fusible link. Follow the power wire from the fan backward until you find the fusible link. It will feel mushy if it is blown.
