Look in the owners manual for the fuel pump reset switch. The switch trips when a vehicle goes in a ditch or rolls over.

I have a 1999 GMC Sierra. wont start. Turns over tries to start but wont stay running. The fuel pressure is fin and all fuses are good.

Technically if you have spark and enough fuel pressure it should run.
What is the fuel pressure at the rail ?
Have you checked the cap and rotor ?

2004 gmc jimmy, tried to start fired twice didnt catch now just turns over,i can here fuel pump and smell gas.replaced ignition coil??? still wont fire

Check the ECM/BAT fuse. this fuse controls the ECM and the fuel injection circuit. If the fuse is ok, you need to check for voltage at the spark plug. Pull the #1 spark plug. If the cylinder is getting fuel the plug will be wet with gasoline. Put the spark plug wire back on the plug. Now crank the starter and look for a spark from the spark plug electrode. If you can let me know what you find from these tests, I can help you determine the next course of action.

Wont start... there is no power to the fuel pump when you first turn the key on but when you crank there is power. if you hit it with ether it will start and run. then starts every time. if you let it sit...

if this is the vortech motor i have seen where the fuel pump is not putting out enough pressure but will run when you hit it with ether so i whould change pump first.

1987 gmc jimmy wont start

yea you have no fuel and sound like a bad harness and the gm's are know for there fuel pump harness's! did you change it when you changed the pump? there is a lose connection somewhere in the fuel delivery system and it's pretty simply! i would check the fuel pump relay on the left hand side of the engine compartment and maybe even put power to the pump at the relay position "b" on the fuel pump relay harness and there should be a one pin connector to put power to also connected to the same position on the relay "b" the wire should be tan and white! good luck

1994 GMC Jimmy hard to start and runs rough when first started

i think if you checked the sparking plugs and map sensors then check your distributer its maybe not delivering the current nedded to perform the spark to some of the cylinders
