I have a 1988 dodge aires i have been hearing a clicking noise when turn the wheel on the drivers side i was told it was the cv axel im not sure if it is the cv axel how do i replace it

clicking is a sure way to tell if the cv joints are bad,, you should replace them both if your going to do it,, since its only a matter of time before the other one goes out, to replace them your going to have to jack it up, remove the tires, brakes, unbolt the cv joint hold downs from the front end,, and slide them out of the transmission,, it sounds easy , but they can be hard to do, and time consuming, be sure not to mess with the steering arms if possible, that way your alignment will be the same as it was. here is a video of the wheel bearing replacement, but it will also show you what you need to remove to change the axle , ( which he has set off to the side )
