Hi

Pair of rubber gloves, Jack, 2 axle stands, Socket set, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Brake cleaner, Kitchen roll, Lead lamp or torch.

Good Luck !

Remember to pump the brake pedal, before you drive off, otherwise you will be doing body repairs next !

Need to perform rear brake pad change on 2006 Volvo V70 AWD 2,5T wagon

brakes are brakes, push in , turn in, or two piece calipers. remove wheel , remove two bolts that hold caliper in place, remove replace pads if rotors look good if not remove caliper retainer and rotor replace or have resurfaced at local part store with service. if push in piston push in with c-clamp or piston tool, if turn in will be solid on top with slots for tool to turn in turn to right, tool can be gotten at parts store, if two piece take apart and put back then bleed brakes.

Left front brakes stuckes

caliper may be sticking this will require over haul (new seals maybe pistons) do both calipers as a pair or you may find brakes will drag to the right if you only do left side I've found this out the hard way

I was trying to change the rear brake pads but the caliper is out a little bit and doesn't move at all, so the new pads doesn't fit

it is the pistons in the calipers, usualy it has to be turned witha special tool and pressed in at the same time before you can fit the pads

Do i need to change the brake pads and discs???

No you don't, you can have them turn the brake disk/rotor . Turning the brake disk/rotor is when you have the surface of the disk resurfaced by having a brake lath cut the high spots down. The disk are cheap enough now that most will just replace the disk/rotor the same time they replace the brake pads. You can pick up performance drilled or slotted brake disk/rotor for almost the same price as the OEM disk/rotor. Good luck and hope this helps, you can pick up the slotted brake disk/rotor at Auto Zone for a reasonable price and they will have the step by step instruction replacing the disk and if you like to just have the disk/rotor turned, they can do they there too.

Brake pad change

yes, the process is the same. the ABS sensor isn't physically attached to any of the brake components, so don't sweat it. (please rate my answer)
