my o4 2500  dodge has heat problems. First it would only blow in front vents. no defrost no floor. THen it started to blow on defrost and thats all.
Now blows on feet and thats it. If you play with it long enough, like turn heat temp. down alittle and switch to defrost it will blow or vis versa.

No defost or floor level heat

a motor in the climate control box is stripped out on the inside to the mating shaft that moves the flapper that directs the air. i found a website that offers to sell a kit for $150 that is probably the best fix. For the specific issue of no defrost or floor and blowing out of the vents, the problem is with the motor that is directly behind the cup holders in the dash. i pulled out the motor and drilled a hole straight through the center of the white plastic coupling. i then drove a 1 1/2 inch drywall screw into the hole that i drilled. this will not fix the problem for long, but you can get the motor to turn the flapper in the up position and get defrost. once this is done, you can leave your fan speed set to 3 or 4 and never adjust the position of the air flow and your defrost will work. Your next move should be to sell your dodge and never purchase another dodge for the rest of your life. Good luck.

Air only blows on floor with very little coming out the defrost or regular vents.

Hope you have the same set up, sure you do. You may have either crossed your vaccum lines or when you were putting your heater/ac box back together or you may of pinched the vents somewhat closed. Cycle through the different zones to ensure the vents are moving as your are selecting (defrost, floor, ect...) If you think the vaccum lines are correct then you may have a reassembly issue with the Heater/ac box. I had the same problem with my 2000 Dodge Ram 4x4. Use the KISS rule "keep it simple stupid" start with the vaccum lines and all your wiring to the motors, make sure everything is plugged in. Hopefully you'll find it there before going back into the box again.
