Fob battery went flat now omega won't start

Replaced battery at dealership now the electronic/immobiliser light is on (not flashing) and the car won't start

  • Anonymous Feb 08, 2013

I have resynced the key but the light stayed on so we disconnected the battery. When we reconnected the battery all looked well (the car/spanner light had gone off) but now there is just a clicking sound when I try to start it, any ideas other than the starter motor?

SOURCE: Immobiliser light flashing and car

Hello, do you know what the locksmith did to get the code on your key? Did anything else flash on the screen when the car would not start. My car is doing the same thing, and my Jaguar dealer is 200 miles away. My screen is showing [Engine Fault, Transmission Fault and DSC Fault]. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

SOURCE: peugeot 406 hdi electronic immobiliser warning

did you try the spare key? are you sure it is an immobilizer light? what does the warning light look like, can you describe it? replacing the battery in the key will not help as it is not needed for the recognition of the key(this is done by an induced current).

2012 Mazda 6 I lost the fob key and battery went dead so replaced battery now alarm won't let me start my car...have another key but no fob how do I shut off alarm so I can start my car

You will probably need to replace the fob as that will contain the code to turn off the alarm and immobiliser. You might have to go to a dealership if it is a factory fitted security system.

Car wont start or turn over.

Hi!
This problem appears to relate to your Immobiliser, When the alarm kept going off you couldn't shut it down with the fob? so after removing the power source to the alarm system and re-connection this fail to start because either the Fob has flat batteries in it or it needs re-coding.
I'm sure if you take the fob to any decent Electrical store or even your local car dealership they will change the batteries for you to eliminate that problem.
Unfortunately if the fob needs coding this can only be done via the cars own dealership.
There you go!
I hope this FixYa'd problem?
