the passnger side right side window got stuck down. I heard alot of rattling as it was being lowered. I took the inside door panel and was troubleshooting it. I found a broken cable.I got the window up, but its not air tight. What are steps in replacing the regulator? Do I need to replace the window motor at the same time?

2002 GMC Sierra 1500. Pass side window went down, wouldn't go back up. Took inside door trim off. Motor still works. Used it to get window up enough to drive home. See a frayed wire inside door. Do I replace just the wire (cable) or the whole thing? Is there a picture of how this mechanism works that would help me understand what needs to be done?

You will need to Replace the Window Motor that is Inside the Door. Start at the Bottom of the Door Panel and Work your way Up after you Remove all of the Vissible Screws in the Panel. You can Access it through the Holes in the Door Frame. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Power windows on both sides won't work

Have a look at the wire harness where it exits the door and goes into the car. There may be broken wiring there due to flexing of the harness each time the door is opened/closed. You may have to cut the protective cover over the wiring for inspection. If the wiring is ok, you will need to disassemble the door panel and check the motor/s for power and ground supply from the switch assembly to determine if the motor is good or bad.

Drivers window wont go up or down properly and makes a funny noise

The teeth on the arm might be stripped or the window motor might be dying. You will have to take off the door panel to see.

check the wires inside the drivers door ,where they go from the door to the body, slice the rubber cover to see. often they will break from the drivers door being opened and closed so many times.

I have a 2005 Honda Accord and the only power window that works now is the drivers side. Im not sure if these problems are related but first a few months ago my speakers started making loud poping noises,...

Sounds like you have major electrical problems. I would say a short for sure, it sounds like water is getting inside your door panel for one. Check the fuse box, make sure the box itself is secured, then check the fuses. making sure they are in tight. Pay close attention to the Accessory fuse, it controls alot of what you are describing.

You need to replace the window regulator assembly.
The cables that run the glass up and down have broken inside the regulator.

Hope this helps. A FixYa rating would be greatly apprecited.
