There is usually a master fuse that is in the power distribution center on the driver's side under the hood.  There are usually 2 big battery cables and this master fuse that is between them.  It has a very high amperage.  I would use a voltage tester to see if that fuse is blown or not.  Then I would start looking for blown fuses.  Also, some cars have a fuse called a "fusable link".  This is basically a fuse that is built into the wire.  So instead of a wire getting hot and melting it "pops" kind of like a fuse.  I would go thru with a continuity meter and check all of my major battery cables.

Can a 95 Suzuki esteem engine work with 89 Suzuki sidekick engine parts like the Pistons, rod bearing , and pin

no at all.
the 89 sidekick has a G16A engine
the esteem uses a J18 or G16B engine.

the G16A parts match G16A parts.
the B engines, have special pistons, fly cut for valve clearance.
mixing A and B parts will not work.
A = 8valve
B = 16valve
the J18 is 1.8L and is twin cam and totally different engine.

why not find a good short block? and build from there?
in the USA (car is rare )but all G16 blocks can befound
from 1989 to 1998, a 10 year span on trackers and sidekicks.
and esteems.
next time post displacements, so we can know what is there.

It sounds like the turn signal is on (clicking) but it is not on Suzuki sidekick 4wheel drive

  1. my guess is, all 4 blinker dead?,
  2. and emergency flasher dead.?
  3. but the flasher does make noise, right?
  4. and the dash cluster lamp does what?
  5. both left and right sides????????????????????????????? dead.
  6. no dim lamps ? just 100% dead.
easy, all answers USA< other countries have their own lamps and wire colors and laws .
page 3 and 4 cover it all.

see that.?

see that hazard and blinks have their own fuses????
ill not comment until all the questions are answered above.

1996 suzuki sidekick has a dash light "power" that is on and I have no idea what it means. I checked the power steering fluid and it is good.

There should be a power/normal switch on the console just to the right of the automatic transmission gear selector. (Labeled A/T on my '96, but "power" in my '92.) This switch changes the shift profile of the 4 speed automatic transmission.

1996 suzuki sidekick sport jlx all four power windows and door locks quit at the same time

Look for broken wires leading into the driver's door. Have you already checked for a fuse problem? The windows and locks may be fused, or they may be on a circuit breaker. Sounds like power is not getting to the master switch, or the ground for it is lost. If you have a voltmeter, you can check for power and ground right at the master switch. The switch will have one hot wire to it with the key on, and one ground wire from the switch back into the cabin and then to ground somewhere, probably close by.
Ground a voltmeter or test light, pull the master switch connector apart, turn key on, and probe the connector for one hot wire. If you have it, good. If no power, again check for broken wires at the door. To check the ground wire, put positive lead on the hot wire, and the negative lead into the ground terminal source at the connector. If the ground is good, the meter will show battery voltage, or the testlight will light up. If the ground is lost, you will get nothing on the meter or testlight.

Lost power

Does the starter works? If it will not, maybe your problem is in the ignition switch.
