Thanks! The oil was changed 4weeks ago and the problem started just last week. It's headed to my mechanic Friday.

    Thanks again.

It might be oil pressure sensor or oil pump is faulty. Also might be problem with winter conditions driving oil gets more viscous. If you recently did oil change might be the reason for that too. Change the oil for 5W-30 (for winter only), instead of 10W-30. If problem persists check/replace oil sensor if wont help loook for oil pump.

Clutch pedal has no pressure and makes an air relief sound when i turn off engine

Well, it seems to be a hydraulic clutch, meaning it works by oil pressure. The reservoir is under the hood against the firewall and is usually very close to the brake reservoir. Both take the same dot3 brake fluid that can be purchased at the auto parts store. Make sure they both have the proper levels in them. Your clutch has definitely got air in the lines from a low fluid issue or the clutch master or slave cylinder needs replacing or rebuilding.

Alight comes on that looks like a pail with a spout on a 2003 malibu with a 3100 engine it gones off at about 2700 rpms

it sounds like your oil pressure light. ( light illuminates red) I would check the oil level in the motor, if o.k. check oil pressure with mechanical gauge at sending unit located on engine. If oil pressure above 18 p.s.i. at idle, suspect faulty sending switch. If pressure low, possible oil pump/regulator, cracked pick-up tube, bad engine bearings.

Where is a brake switch located on a mitsubishi lancer 2003

if you mean the brake light switch, almost all of them today are located so the brake pedal can actuate it. Look around under the dash. You should be able to see it.

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oil Light at Low RPMS.

I had the same exact problem over the weekend. We decided to go cheap first and replace the Oil Pressure Switch. It's like $6.00 at Auto Zone here in Texas. (don't know if you are from the states). It ended up being the switch. It's located right by the oil filter and it's very easy to change. Just make sure you have a wrench or deep socket bigger than 15/16. I think we used a 1 inch wrench.

If it's not the switch, its most likely the oil pump, but don't forget to check the hose, it could be bent or crimped.

Hope this helps :D

Try replacing the Oil Pressure Switch/Sending Unit. It should only be a couple bucks at your local auto parts store.

2002 Lancer OZ Rally...

I had the same problem with my 2003 Lancer OZ. The oil level and pressure were ok. Car was fine with no light when starting. After 10 to 15 mins of driving it would come on when I was stopped. It would go away when I pressed accelerator. Try replacing the Oil Sending Unit. It's about $10 and easy to swap. That was my problem.
